The publication of the book was delayed when an injunction was sought by a former groom at the Haughey estate in Kinsealy. Ruth Henderson, formerly Ruth Young, who claimed that she was libelled in the book. Mrs Henderson claimed Mr O'Connor intended to publish what he contended was a truthful account of how Mr Haughey actually came by his injuries in 1970 and conveyed the clear meaning that she was a co-conspirator with Mr Haughey and others in providing an alibi for the ex-Taoiseach (from the Irish Independent of 15 June,1999).The action was settled out of court. Mr. O' Connor agreed not to publish any matter about his client other than the text agreed between them. Her name and photograph were also removed from the book.
