Reseña del editor:
Adults may see many things in life as small, but to young children, those little things aren't small at all. A beetle is not just a little bug; a border collie is not a little pup. This picture book, told in humorous rhyme from a child's perspective, helps remind us all what a big world we live in.
Nota de la solapa:

"[Mister Mark has] an uncanny gift for entertaining kids while teaching them on the sly."
-Elizabeth Ludrick, Dallas/Fort Worth Child
Life is all about perspective, and this book investigates the world from the vantage point of young children. Adults may see many things in life as small, such as puppies, street blocks, and vaccinations, but to young children, those little things aren't small at all. This book, told in humorous rhyme from the perspective of children, helps remind us all in what a big world we live.
Author Mark Burrows uses repetition and rhyme to convey both tangible and intangible items of every size. He helps children relate to feelings about what they see as well as the actual objects themselves. Alison Davis Lyne's illustrations burst out of the book, from a magnified beetle to Aunt Mildred's face, which fills the page waiting for a not-so-little kiss. Covering a wide range of childhood events, from scary ones such as going to the doctor for a "little shot" to loving ones such as receiving a "little note" from Mom in a lunchbox, this book provides an enjoyable and meaningful experience for children and adults to share.
Mark Burrows is a former music teacher and Teacher of the Year at Stephen C. Foster Elementary School in Dallas, Texas. He serves as the director of children's ministries at First United Methodist Church-Fort Worth, Texas, where he leads the weekly Children's Message as well as a monthly worship service for children and families called Children First. Burrows is also the founder and director of the Threadbare Theatre puppetry troupe. He received his undergraduate degree in music education from Southern Methodist University and his graduate degree in conducting from Texas Christian University. "Mister Mark," as he is known to his many fans, specializes in engaging, educational subjects, and his four children's albums have won nine national awards. When Burrows is not touring the nation presenting energetic, interactive, educational shows, he resides in Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife and two daughters.
Alison Davis Lyne creates art for a variety of publications, including books and magazines. She enjoys making art that pops off the page, and this book provided lots of opportunities for just that. Lyne is also the illustrator of Pelican's Bo and the Christmas Bandit, Bo and the Roaring Pines, Easter Day Alphabet, Evangeline for Children, G Is for Grits: A Southern Alphabet, Halloween Alphabet, Jacques et la Canne Sucre: A Cajun Jack and the Beanstalk, Kudzu Chaos, and Thanksgiving Day Alphabet. She lives in Adairville, Kentucky.
