INTRODUCTION Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn is more than a simple thriller novel. SETTINGS The events of the novel’s primary storyline take place in and around North Carthage, MO, beginning in July of 2012. STORY PLOT ANALYSIS The plot is centered on the mysterious disappearance of Amy Elliot Dunne.
