Portland, Oregon. Frank Amato Publications.1989. First edition. Quarto (10 x 8). 94 pp. including bibliography, index. Historical black and white photos, text illustrations, and text maps. Mr. Burdick provides the history, romance, and personal portraits which highlight many of the colorful characters who populated the river over the decades, including a bit of information about my now dead friend and colleague, Don Conner, whose grandfather operated "Shorty's Camp" at the mouth of the Klamath beginning in the 1920s to 1955, when California's great flood washed it and all of Shorty's boats away. The book is bound in black pictorial wrappers. A keen book. In fine condition.
