Illustrated with 32 tipped-in color plates and numerous woodcut portraits of the artists (most reproduced from Vasari's 1568 edition). Edition limited to 1500 numbered copies (this is #1363), designed and printed by Giovanni Mardersteig at the Stamperia Valdonega and signed by him on the limitation leaf. A fine set in very good- dust jackets and a near fine, but slightly shelfworn slipcase.
