A very good, clean, tight copy in very good minus jacket. Original publisher's black boards - gilt embossed to the spine. The text supported by maps to the endpapers and a number of photographic reproductions. No inscriptions. Some spotting to the fore-edges slightly affecting the extreme margins of some pages. The jacket has not been price-clipped; it has dust soiling to the front panel and notable if not significanat spotting to the rear panel. There are several short tears and nicks that have been repaired by a former owner with what appears to be archival tape. A very good, clean, tight copy in a very good minus jacket.
