Hardcover. Condición: Very Good. Estado de la sobrecubierta: Very Good. 1st Edition. This First Edition and first printing hardback was published by Longmans in London in 1949. Both book and dust-jacket are in strong 'Very Good' condition - please refer to our photographs. The pages of text have survived over 70 years extraordinarily well and are certainly in 'Near Fine'. The book's cloth bound covers show fading of their dyed colour not in a uniform way but in a modern art blotchy approach. It's a mystery how. The cloth on the spine however is unaffected and the titles are in still bright silver gilt. The dust-jacket is an old fashioned thin plastic protective sleeve but it has worked well as the paper used for the jacket in 1949 Austerity England is very thin. The book has 166 numbered pages but no illustrations. The size of this paperback-sized book in inches is 7.5 x 5.0 and it weighs 0.23 kg. For lovers of Cold Comfort Farm . Flora Poste is back from page 1! As with all our sales of books within the UK, we only ever charge a flat standard delivery cost of £3.35.
